Breuil-Cervinia represents the mountain resort par excellence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Built in the first decades of the last century in a large basin at the top of the Valtournenche valley, at 2000 meters, Breuil-Cervinia is today not only one of the most renowned high mountain tourist centers in the Aosta Valley<\/strong> but also a holiday destination of international importance.<\/p>\n

The possibilities for practicing sports here are countless, in every season of the year: from classic mountaineering to winter sports, to the most recent and adrenaline-pumping disciplines. Its ski area is one of the largest in the Alps<\/strong>, connected to the slopes of Valtournenche and the Swiss ones of Zermatt, where it is even possible to ski on the ice in summer.<\/p>\n

Culture<\/h3>\n

Absolutely not to be missed is the Museum “A working mountain<\/strong>“: in Plateau Ros\u00e0, at 3,500 meters above sea level, a perennially snow-covered place with a unique panorama, this exhibition of photographs and equipment narrates the undertaking of the construction of the Plateau Ros\u00e0 cable cars and the Furggen.<\/p>\n

The Cervino CineMountain Film festival<\/strong> is also increasingly prestigious: one of the most important Italian summer film festivals that also deals with issues related to it such as the environment, climate, sport, adventure, history and culture.<\/p>\n

Nature<\/h3>\nBreuil-Cervinia is one of the undisputed capitals of high mountain sports<\/strong>. Not just mountaineering and skiing: the activities to be carried out in contact with nature are many and throughout the year.
\nIn summer, various ski lifts are in operation for hikers and mountain bikers.\nThe enduro and downhill routes are numerous and of varying difficulty, for a total of about 90 km between snowfields, moraines and grasslands. There are also itineraries suitable for electric bikes<\/strong>.
\nKingdom of mountaineers, walkers and cyclists, but also of skiers and not only in winter!\n

In fact, summer skiing<\/strong> is practiced in the highest area of \u200b\u200bthe area, thanks to the facilities that allow you to reach the Plateau Rosa and Ventina glaciers. A record summer area, the highest and most extensive in Europe, connected with Switzerland, with about 25 km of tracks for all levels and for every alpine skiing specialty, without forgetting snowboarding in the splendid Gravity Park.<\/p>\n

Traditions<\/h3>\n

The torchlight procession<\/strong> at the end of the year is very impressive: a parade on the slopes of the teachers of the ski schools of Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche and of the Cervino guides, followed by a fireworks display.<\/p>\n

For children<\/h3>\nCervinia is an ideal place to bring the little ones closer to the wonderful world of the high mountains. In summer as in winter, the activities are varied<\/strong> and children can become passionate about the nature of these places thanks to fun and educational activities.
\nDuring the summer, for example, they can take simple excursions to discover natural treasures, such as in the Blue Lake area or, on the trail of history, such as the walk to the Chiesetta degli Alpini.\n

The Cavalieri del Cervino riding school organizes English and American riding activities, as well as pony rides. Children can have fun at the Adventure Park in the Breuil picnic area, near the playground, above the entrance to the village. Or the Kid zone Fun Park<\/strong> is at their disposal with many games, inflatables and go-karts. Also open in winter, the “Fun Park” offers treadmills and bobs. Snowmobiles and snow dinghies are also available.<\/p>\nChildren can learn to ski – accompanied by capable instructors – on easy slopes, such as those served by treadmills in the Cr\u00e9taz area. There, near the departure of the chairlift, the little ones can find the Cervino Ski School playground. There is also an ice skating rink nearby. There is no shortage of areas designed for children even higher up, such as the Plan Maison lift mat, designed for teaching. A specific area of \u200b\u200bthe “Indianpark” snowpark is also dedicated to children. An exciting experience to try is undoubtedly a dog sledding excursion.
\nThe Snowflake Mini Club service is active during the winter season with expert entertainers who guarantee assistance and play.\n

The Breuil-Cervinia ski area is connected with Valtournenche and Zermatt and is one of the largest in the Alps<\/strong>, with a varied and unique domaine skiable<\/em> which extends along three valleys and two countries, Italy and Switzerland, from 3,883 m. of the Klein Matterhorn till 1,524 m of Valtournenche.<\/p>\n

The slopes in the area allow you to ski all day without ever repeating the same track, alternating simpler and more challenging routes. Here you can ski in summer too.<\/p>\n

\n\tOther winter activities\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

In the Breuil-Cervinia area it is also possible to practice heliskiing, ice climbing, cross country, paragliding, ice skating, ice kart and sled tours pulled by husky dogs.<\/p>\n
